Rachel Bilson was born on August 25th, 1981 to Janice and Danny Bilson in Los Angeles, California. Her love for drama came at an early age since her father came from a show biz family. Her parents divorced in the year 1997, and her father got remarried to Heather Medway who then gave birth to her half sister Hattie. Rachel graduated from Notre Dame High School in the year 1999. She participated in the productions of Bye Bye Birdie, Once Upon a Matress, and the Crucible. During her freshman year in college, her father encouraged her to begin an acting career. After that, she dropped out of college and began appearing in many commercials. She made her TV Debut in a few shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Finally in the year 2003 she got offered a guest star role on the O.C, playing the mean and popular Summer Roberts. However, she then became a regular after the success of the new show. In the year 2006, Rachel made her big screen debut in the movie, the Last Kiss with Zach Braff. Soon after the O.C. ended, she decided she was ready to began appearing in more films. In 2006, she recieved a role in the movie Jumper along Hayden Christiansen. She is currently resides in Los Angeles.
